Here are a few more photos from my rainy day in Kansas City Missouri. A while back I posted pictures of Walt Disney's first studio, which was a garage behind his parents house. When Walt decided to upgrade from the garage this is where he moved to.
The most recent picture I had scene of this building was from the Laugh O Gram Wikipedia page where it was being held up by boards and half demolished. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how far the renovations had come. The building was pretty much condemned until Walt's family and Thank you Walt Disney stepped in with donations.
Walt did not rent this whole building. Just a room above a restaurant that would give Walt food when he looked like he hadn't eaten in a few days. Which I believe was on this side of the building.
I heard there are plans for a museum once the building is restored which would be great. The boards, gates, and fences kept me from getting inside otherwise i'd have some interior shots for you guys...
